She's about as sixteen as the cast of The OC.
That shit is weak. The best acting on YouTube is of course Emo Girl.
Emo Girl is great. I love the comments from people who take her seriously. "Birds die every day!"
A more important question: Sonic Youth and the Flaming Lips are playing at the Minnesota State Fair. Does this mean that the Minnesota State Fair is totally cool, or that Sonic Youth and the Flaming Lips have lost it worse than anyone could ever have imagined?
"If I've told them once, I've told them a thousand times! It's Spinal Tap on top, then Puppet Show!"
I didn't even know Sonic Youth was still around.
Fake, obviously, but I admit to being curious as to why someone would go to all the trouble to produce it?
Reminds me of all the web-only material the producers of Lost put out there, only I'm not sure what show it's supposed to be supplementing.
Kevin XY?
(Note: I have seen neither the videos nor the show, and my knowledge of both is entirely culled from blog posts.)
Nothin' to do with the subject-at-hand, but here's an ogg. Is this what Ogged was in the past?
And, btw, once (before surgery, about which I am happy to say I am glad to see Ogged back among us) Ogged and I enjoyed some back and forth about music. What're you listening to lately, Ogged, when you're not watching bad TV or bad online video?
10 - Did you make that show up? I can't find it on Google. Actually, there'd be something interesting about it supplementing a show that doesn't exist. It's a pre-show, aimed at FOX executives...
and about SY and Flaming Lips at the fair: I'd say "cool"
12: Sadly, no, although I appear to have gotten the name wrong.
In tangentially related news, I just got to the part of Tristam Shandy that explains PC's moniker. That is one awesome book.
I didn't even know Sonic Youth was still around.
Yep, and they released an album this past summer which is damn good. Therefore, despite the Flaming Lips, the Minnesota State Fair is totally cool.
What're you listening to lately, Ogged
Hey Tom! Generally, I only listen to music when I'm driving or working out, and I haven't done either of those things for a few months now, so...nothing. You did turn me into an Alvin Youngblood Hart fan however, so any recommendations are welcome.
11: Man, it would suck to go through life with a last name that meant "fart." I can't think what life would be like with such a funny last name.
14 - I don't believe WB actually watched that. If she had, she'd have provided the time. Thus, like lonelygirl, I can only conclude it's a web-presence in search of a show. They ought to just glom it onto, I don't know, old re-runs of Cheers.
Also, vis-a-vis 7, not only is Sonic Youth still around, they just put out their best album in I don't know how long.
Dammit, now I wanna hear that "Her Name Is Yoshimi" song but I don't think I've moved that CD into the house yet.
Yeah, SY's new album is really great.
Eva Deadbeat tells us about Schiele and Kafka.
19: If you look carefully, you will see that WB did not, in fact, watch the show.
THe dude in the Times says the Napoleon Dynamite poster isn't something an ad-man would come up with. Huh? It is exactly....
23 - What I lack in comprehension, I make up for with intuition.
Unless it's been rained out (a real possibility) that show is going on right now less than a mile from my house.
You know, as much as the "mugging for the camera to a pop song" is a played out genre, as is the "white folk doing rap" thing, I did chuckle at the "Grill" video. Nice stage grills.
