Especially since I don't think that really is SdB. Ben once noted that SdB used to be a MeFi contributer but someone hacked his account and has been using it in his staid.
What is he now, Voldemort?
(I don't think there's much else he can do to us at this point.)
Ok, some behind-the-scenes-arm-twisting has convinced me.
"in his staid" = I don't think that means what I thought it meant. What did I mean?
Wow, 4 makes me curious what else he really can do to us at this point. Is he really Voldemort?
He could write a 30,000 word treatise on how we are too puerile to grasp the lessons of either Thucydides or Dragonball Z.
Actually, I'm no longer sure it's someone else. OH WELL.
I can confirm as an Old Metafilterian ([insert three-digit gangsign]) that SdB originally had two log-ins. He had the original, lost the password, created Steven C., and eventually got the first password back from Matt after it caused confusion. Which is not to say that the account has not fallen into the hands of someone else.
I followed the links and found out that Bill Gates wasn't really assassinated in 1999 either. That's a shocker.
Shouldn't it be "Vol/dem/ort"? Just in case.
This is pretty awesome, y'all.
Holy fuck, yes.
(Wondering what the noun usage of "staid" would mean...)
"in his plaid" would be a nice phrase.
And a nice little euphemism, if "he" is wearing a kilt.
What's next? Acoustic-guitar covers of Outkast summertime pop-hits?
13: Damn. Pretty awesome, indeed.

No, dude, this is a shocker.
OT: Can someone direct me to the thread with the seemingly Asperger's-afflicted gentleman who went on about interejaculate selection &c.? Not Paul Dei/gnan, not Tom Hil/de, but _____? I can't remember his name, and a Google search of keywords reveals that the post has slipped into the hoohole. Just his name or blog would help.
