When did it become standard practice to refer to The Editors with a singular pronoun? I've seen it done a couple of times in the past week and it makes sense of course. I always called him "they".
And The Editors wins the internet by a nose!
Did ogged forget that apostropher pointed this out to him last night, or is he refusing to credit him out of spiteful spite?
The Hero doesn't need my piddling crediting, Ben. You insult him.
Maybe not, but you would elevate yourself by crediting him.
I don't know if "spiteful" is the right word, w-lfs-n. Maybe it's just a function of ogged's inability to think about others: he didn't purposely not give credit to Apo, he just didn't remember Apo once he got what he needed from him.
You make a good point, Timbot. I'm keeping you around until one day I get something I need from you.
See my first disjunct, SomeCallYouTim.
You got a problem with that 'Smasher? Step up!
There's no conflict here, ogged is referring to which ever one of The Editors was bitten by a radioactive reindeer several years ago.
Ogged can leave me uncredited because he's my legal guardian.
Oh it has been broughten, Clownee.
So are you now going to change the mouseover text for The Poor Man on the blogroll?
1. "the editors" has been how teh editorselves have referred to themselves for years. Refrenced in Teh Blog-Explaining Blog.
16. No, b/c it's an injoke, as is documented same as above.
Thanks for linking to this. I hadn't seen it because I don't read The Poor Man. Too shrill.
How many Krugmans* is The Poor Man anyway?
* The official unit of shrill.
"Presenting the sword"
"his receipt of the Ripon Society's Rough Riders Award."
"a "Rough Rider" looks on."
Hott.
