Go cards! I really could give a damn about baseball, but my family has been Cardinals fans going back to my great-grandfather.
Awesome. A complete justification for blogging, from the development of the software to the cat pictures. I don't even mind that it's about a game rather than a sport.
I have divided loyalties here. I like the Mets (one of the few pro teams whose games I have ever attended) and used to live in Queens; but Nat, my only friend who is a devoted baseball fanatic, comes from St Louis and worships the Cardinals. And it seems like I should give his fanaticism higher priority than my own lukewarm regional identification.
Mets half. Sign says: Sacala! Boricua! Delgado! I love New York. The mooks are dancing in the rain.
Hit somethin you fuck. Oh keep walking him back you -- what's your name again? Fuck you.
That's beautiful.
That second paragraph should also be italicized; I should remember the pecularities of this site by now.
My favorite Cards moment ever was when Ozzie Smith got run over by the tarp.
That was Vince Coleman, you ignorant rube.
That was some awesome liveblogging. I noticed it in the top of the 9th and it inspired me to watch the end of the game. And what an end it was!
And I wouldn't have been able to watch it without TVUPlayer, which lets you stream TV channels from all over the world for free. Don't be an expatriate without it!
Holy crap, you're right. I've been misremembering it all these years. I'll kill yuo.
Fucking fuck. That was a painful game.
I'm just pleased to have the Cards in a World Series where I can root for them without qualm. (Of course, they're going to get crushed by Detroit.)
Watching the NLCS is like watching the NIT- you get to see who wins the title of the runner up league.
I was upset about the Mets, insofar as Mets fans spent all year telling me the Yankees were no longer the best team in New York. But I still couldn't root whole-heartedly against them last night.
(Addendum to 6: my true allegiance is to the A's. But they were not available for me to root for.)
16, this is going to sound like I'm saying it in Yankee-fan mode, but I'm really trying to say it in unpredictive statistics are unpredictive mode, all you're saying is that the Yankees a) have won a lot of World Series and b) are in the American League?
The AL also dominates interleague play- won 63% this year.
He was this close to being David Ortiz.
