Never mind that. The gay abortion is one step closer to reality!
What, no Susanna and the Magical Orchestra?
That's because the "let's make it really slow, quiet and folky, quelle surprise!" style of cover was already played-out by Iron & Wine.
It may mostly be my dislike of quiet and folky music, but I never found that style of cover any more tolerable than the "let's make it boisterous third-wave ska!" stylings of Goldfinger and Save Ferris.
By "Iron & Wine", I assume you mean "Mark Kozelek".
Also, JAC, I suppose that means it's a good thing you aren't getting the mix with S&tMO's cover of "It's a Long Way to the Top".

Is there some way of telling them apart???
5: Well, I should have meant Mark Kozelek, but I was thinking of Iron & Wine's cover of "Such Great Heights". Since, on further inspection, he has only recorded that one cover that just felt like fifty billion almost-ironic folky covers, I chose a bad example.
I'm really looking forward to that Susanna-less disc, and slowly but surely making progress on my own mix contributions to Unfogged.
Susanna & TMO covers aren't really ironic, or, for that matter, folky. They are slow, though.
The Tuvans seem to be winning on a purely novelty vote. I like the Slumber Party version.
I like the Fallout Boy version the best.
Until I went back and looked at the track listings I thought people were talking about the Leonard Cohen song Suzanne.
