The thing about how he still thinks Saddam is a martyr even though Saddam killed his brother puts even the nuttiest of our wingnuts to shame.
Hell, now I've got that comic strip in my head.
Late in the video, the Saddam supporter says that the people who killed Saddam are the same people who killed [list of names, followed by "and the compatriots of the prophet]. Are all the figures in the list early Sunni martyrs? Is this equivalent to talking about "Christ killing Jews"?
That dude totally doesn't look Iranian, by the way.
Is this equivalent to talking about "Christ killing Jews"?
It doesn't get brought up much anymore, but Christ was quite the Jew-hunter.
7: what, the camera drops ten pounds from his nose?
That dude totally doesn't look Iranian, by the way.
Racist.
"Saddam was your master and your father's master" - what's that about?
Now I'm wondering if Fox News stole its style from that program, in the way that we regularly remake British and Dutch TV shows over here.
"Saddam was your master and your father's master" - what's that about?
He's calling the other guy an uppity ingrate for insulting the glorious leader's name.
we regularly remake British and Dutch TV shows over here.
Dutch?
What's wrong with the Dutch?
Racist.
Dutch: NBC is all hopped up about "Chains of Love," from the same Dutch production company that gave us "Big Brother"
I think there are others (Deal or No Deal?).
There are two things I hate: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.
Cala fought the the height and the height won.
What's wrong with the Dutch?
The little wooden shoes fill me with rage.
Thw Swedes are the evil ones with their pop music.
Marc Lynch has some background on the exchange here.
That video clip could have been approved if the Iranian dude had returned to the show with Ted Dibiase and a ring chair.
16. the weird part is that he was claiming, i think, that the other guy was Iranian, and Saddam was his master. I didn't know they saw things that way.
As in "bow down to your master," not as in "you work for him."
I'm a bit apprehensive now that this is common knowledge which I've just missed out on, but maybe I'm still misreading this: I was thinking that if the pro-Saddam guy thinks the anti-Saddam guy isn't Iraqi, then Saddam shouldn't be his master, unless Saddam was the master of all Iranians. But maybe even though he says the anti-Saddam guy is Persian, because he lives in Iraq, that makes Saddam his master.
Someone, somewhere, is trying to parse the O'reilly show in a similar manner, only in farsi.
unless Saddam was the master of all Iranians
My interpretation was that, in the mind of Mr. Ravey McShitbag, Saddam was the master of all Iranians thanks to the Iran-Iraq war.
On the other hand, if we take Mr. Ravey's raving at face value, then we should *definitely* just hand Iraq over to the Iranians, on the ground that the other guy was comparatively sane.
Ogged has never denied that he belives Iraq should be ruled by Iran.
