You should still check out the Fiery Furnaces track, though.
The blog can get no better.
peace upon Mohammed...
If I botched the strip-my-name part of the production, shoot me, then kill the post.
Check your email, Labs (awesome, though).
Matt, see my reply. God, apple makes it so hard sometimes.
OK, should be fixed. (Ah, a garageband preference that's set automatically! So clever!) Matt, would you be so kind as to confirm that I've solved the problem?
No problem.
Good choice on the LCD Soundsystem.
I support 10. Great track.
You've heard the "Knight Rider Banghra," right labs?
I'd also like to recommend Morphine - Buena.
Another vote for the FM version. That was good.
And then iTunes went from Punch my Armor to Purple Rain. Dance my pretties! Dance!
Buena buena buena buena good good good.
That Punjabi MC song, ("Mundian To Bach Ke") the one with the Knight Rider samples, was already a bit cheesy a few years back -- it had been played to death -- but then I heard it in a Czech club which had been playing lots of really bad early 80s Czech pop (in a deliberately 'ironic' hipster fashion*). They flipped over to non-Czech-pop about 1am and that was the first track they played. And it just sounded so great.
* Also, I suspect, designed to alienate the half dozen or so non-Czechs who'd found the place by mistake.
It's snowing in DC! It's snowing in DC!
The lightest snowfall that can be called snow. But yes, it is SNOWING! Finally.
And me without milk or bread. (Got TP?) Off to the supermarket.
Fuck, looks like I picked the wrong weekend to bring my car down into the city instead of leaving it parked at suburban Metro stop.
Re milk/bread, I thought people were joking when they talked about that shit. But I just walked to the store, and indeed, it's true. I almost felt irresponsible for buying jalapenos and beer.
Why? You were buying necessities!
Not much snow but it is slippery out there.
A Metro Bus that couldn't negotiate the downhill curve in front of my apartment building is just sitting on the sidewalk. Funny as it is where the bus stop is on the uphill side.
Y'all have heard Panjabi MC crossed with Shaggy, right? "It Wasn't To Bach Ke"
Who needs jihad when we've got T. Rex?
