If I click the link, will this post make sense?
Or is sense an outmoded concept which I am oppressing you (or perhaps the post) by applying?
Click the link and you tell me, bitch.
I predict that this David Broder column leads Brad DeLong to shift his prediction of how long the Washington Post continues to be published in its present form in a downward direction. Reports of its awfulness have not been exaggerated.
The thing is, I'm really not sure that Broder's "sense of proportion" detects a difference between saying impolitic things and presiding over massive, democracy-undermining corruption and lying to Congress about it.
God, Broder has really descended into cranky incoherence. Can't somebody put him out to pasture already?

Well, those two things have the same effect - none - on Broder and the rest of the permanent aristocracy, so it's hard for him to muster up the interest to figure out which one is worse than (yawn) it's all a rich tapestry (yawn) what's really important is our civic rituals (yawn, keel over)
I guess 4 makes this is the OT thread now? Okay: I hope all you heathens saw that it's now been scientifically proven that religious parents=better kids.
Child abusers, the lot of you.
That's a cello at the end! Vicious bigotry!
This is the thread for discussing the horrible musicians of Labs U! NO OFF TOPIC COMMENTS ALOUD
8: Oversimplified reinterpretation of article: "Religious indoctrination makes kids docile and more easily-managed."

OT: Anybody here speak Japanese, and would be able to search news.google.jp for reports of a scam targeting people trying to buy poodles, and selling them Australian sheep instead? It was reported in the Sydney Morning Herald but it sounds kind of impossible. No other English-language results for the story.

AOTW, I count 14.
