The parts of that article where sportswriters try to explain how the Intarweb works makes my head hurt.
So creepy. McMahon has a great alibi: he was dead at the time.
Did the bodies still have their braaaaains? If so, probably not McMahon.
Damn, LB, that cracked me up then made me feel guilty for laughing.
I don't think y'all are appreciating how weird this is.
We're just mesmerized by the pecs in the post below.
It is weird, and actually makes me interested in following this story for the first time. I love murder-mysteries.
The 12:01 AM timestamp seems like it might indicate a Wikipedia bug.
Oddly, when I looked on wikipedia, the relevant change seemed to have happened at 4:01am. But I'm not going to look it up again.
Oh, and someone changed it back pretty quickly, so unless both were misstamped, which is unlikely, I don't think it was a bug.
All I can think is that maybe he texted someone saying 'my wife has died'... but I can't get from there to editing the wikipage.
He did send some text messages before he died, but none, as far as we know, mentioned his wife dying.
12: he texted the "wrong number," knowing that the "unintended" recipient would wikipedia the story, mucking up the investigation.
Wait. Wait. I watched Dial M for Murder last night. It's clouding my analysis.
Presumably, a subpoena to Wikimedia and the user ID's ISP will clear this up, right?
I bet y'all a dollar that someone doesn't understand the concept of time zones.
Huh. Someone with the same IP apparently posted in a WikiNews discussion, saying he/she had posted an unsubstantiated rumor, and that its truth was pure coincidence.
Incidentally, the edit said only that Benoit's wife was dead, not murdered or any other details. Since she was also a wrestling personality, I imagine this is something Dame Rumor could have come up with unaided.
