That was really terrific! Also great is Rudy's move beyond self-parody:
He flatlined in Iowa and he's struggling in New Hampshire, but Rudy Giuliani shook off the early-state blues Thursday as only he can."None of this worries me - Sept. 11, there were times I was worried," Giuliani said.
Also funny, but not deliberately so. Best comment, from Righteous Bubba:
Welcome, Republicans, to just desserts. Pretending to be the yokel party turns out to be no different than being the yokel party.
Wow, how very pathetic does it make HRC look to be citing her opponent's kindergarten essay on her website. Yikes.
God, the comments over there are hilarious.
Then we could go after the Iranian and Saudi oil fields. What did they ever do to earn those. The west found, developed, and mans those oil fields. There's no rule that says we have to respect our neighbors property rights if he's shooting bullets at us from his land. Especially if we built his house and were holding a mortgage when he "nationalized" it.
4: that Hilary press release was like a capsule of everything wrong with her campaign and image -- heavy-handed, grim, humorless. That Obama could deflate it all with a single line says a lot about their differences.
4: I had to check if that was actually her website, because it looked so much like a freshman philosophy essay based on a 'gotcha' type zinger that it had to be a parody.
It got some coverage when she first put it up.
3: But, but, they sound so elitist! I thought that was our gig.
1. "This morning, I saw that I ran out of toothpaste, which made me think back to 9/11 when I couldn't find a drugstore open."
Andrew Olmsted from Obsidian Wings just died in Iraq.
He left an 'in the event of my death' post, which Hilzoy just posted. Damn. I really liked him.
Yeah, the end of that is just really heartbreaking.
Holy shit, that's awful, awful, awful. RIP.
