Re: No Wonder The NY Post Endorsed Him

What, one lousy pun is more fun than years of speculating over sex scandals every morning? No way.

The Post has been calling him "Bam" at least sometimes.

You know what I was thinking? Cartoonists must be so happy at the prospect of an Obama victory. He's a new face, and really easily caricatured.

Bam! That's actually pretty endearing.

2 - Link. They did it for the primaries.

I do like Bam. I hadn't heard that before. Bam!

I was thinking more like all of the headlines that could play off of the opening vowel over the course of his presidency:

Go-bama
No-bama
So?-bama
Faux-bama
Row-bama
Sew-bama
Flow-bama
Mo'-bama

etc.

Works well with a Massachusetts accent too. Obamer? But I just met her!

I'd say that the Post endorsement is bad for Obama. It's a Murdoch paper we a pretty hard neocon line. They were flirting with Hillary for awhile, which dodn't make me feel better about her. Their endorsement says nothing good about Obama and just is used to introduce a string of Clinton smears. (Perhaps they also are calculating that Obama would be the weaker candidate, though I'm pretty sure they're wrong about that_.

Oooh, I think David Brooks did that -- got all sappy over Obama as a platform from which to really get into smashing Hillary. It'll be funny watching him climb down and explain that Obama's the Anti-Christ.

Nothing sells like assassination. Murdoch's just sweating the bottom line.

9: I wouldn't read too deeply into The Post endorsement. It was less of a pro-Obama piece than it was another excuse for the Post to rant about the Clintons. And the reason why Murdock's stopped kissing up to the Clintons seems fairly obvious to me: last year, Clinton was being sold as inevitable, and Murdock wanted an in with the next president. Now that she's a much dicier prospect, he's getting ready to jump ship with the rest of the rats.

12: An often-overlooked aspect of the JFK and RFK comparisons.

One thing you have to give presidential candidates credit for - and I mean any presidential candidate, but particularly ones like Hillary and Obama - is physical courage.
