I've never been more proud of you than I am right now, ogged.

Oh, and hey, it's milk chocolate. Extra double-plus-unkosher goodness!

Yes, it's very good.

Like smoked flecks of salt.

I haven't tried the bacon, but I liked the cardamom / walnut / plum bar by that company.

I didn't like the bacon chocolate bar. The bacon is kind of sad and limp, not crispy as God intended, and the milkiness of the milk chocolate was too much with the bacon.

Now, bacon and DARK chocolate, that might work. Or homemade dark-chocolate-dipped bacon, snarfed up within a day or two of dipping. Hmm. I detect some culinary experimentation in my future.

I was thinking that dark chocolate would be a better choice than milk too, Magpie.

Does anyone know whether apostropher has had one/

i don't know, chocolate should be sweet, not salty bitter in my imagination and bacon is what, like containing pork fat? incompatible imo
spicy choco is ok though
not choco, but uni for example tastes like kidney, unizushi is my favourite

Maybe crispy on the edges, but bacon is usually only as crispy as it is because it's cut way too thin. Bacon should be thick and meaty. Costco has Fletcher's Dry Cured , which is great.

The advertising, aside from the chocolate bar overlaying the model's face... well, "Be in the present moment"? Where the fuck else would I be, non-serious tenser?

Damn it, I can't find dry cured bacon around here for the life of me. Stupid brine infusion curing.

I thought the first couple bites of the chocobacon bar were good, but I couldn't make myself keep eating it after that.

My blog post about eating the chocobacon bar did sent my co-blogger into something of a chocolate+bacon frenzy, so... look out, apostropher.

I like that bacon/chocolate bar a lot.

I also get the Niman Ranch uncured bacon (and then save the drippings for things like frying up gardenburgers).

Clearly, I am ogged today.

I'm surprised Ogged would support someone like that.

Soft bacon is gross, but I can see a *chocolate bar* with soft bacon, maybe. The combination sounds good. And yes, milk chocolate + salt = yum.

That said, it seems kind of off to follow a post about some poor old couple with alzheimers by saying "oh hey, I had a really nice chocolate bar today. It was great!"

Chocolate is full of anti-oxidants.

And the bits of bacon are tiny. There's not a lot of chewing going on. Unless you get one of the chocolate-old people bars; those are pretty chewy.

YES! I want a coupla of those and a Slurpee!

Yummy in my tummy.

If it's like going to be childish nostalgia week, can we get some teletubbies nostalgia? Particularly something that involves being really high and say, trying to eat your own foot?

The cob smoked bacon available here is highly delicious.

All of you people who think bacon has to be one way or the other should be ashamed. There is room in our hearts for every kind of bacon, or there should be.

I am now considering bacon and cherimoya. It leaves me puzzled.

Yes, what thing is there that does not love a Max?

The Vosges woman is super ridiculous and most of the chocolates I've had have been something of a letdown. I still love the Naga bar and truffles, though.

@19
Now I'm ogged. I'm also getting my nth cold of the year (though I'm having trouble counting because it's hard to tell when one leaves off and another begins). And the bacon chocolate rules. For the PDX folk, Cacao has an awesome (if expensive) collection of chocolates. I had 100% chocolate there and it was surprisingly good.

@36
Naga... Naga... Naga... Not gonna work here anymore, anyway.
