Don't forget to check out the page's titles (except the odd one named Mozilla Firefox). I just noticed them and now I'm hunting for Easter Eggs.
1: Just for you, we hid the image a bottle of MD 20/20 in one of the crowd scenes.
I tried that stuff once. How to go blind in three easy gulps.
M is for Manischewitz...D is for...dreck?
Oh, this is great. Would read again.
They sell stand mixers at the mini-mall? Didn't seem very swipple to me.
That's not an invitation! It's a scrapbook! I feel robbed.
I know I'm kinda slow, but I just pieced it together. Unfogged has been canceled. We're going off the air. The Sifu and Blume wedding episode is our series finale. There is no future for us. We will on only in people's memories, and in the inevitable slash fiction.
10: Nah, we're all figments of an autistic kid's imagination.
10-11: Actually, we sold the blog on eBay to pay for the liquor at the wedding reception.
Ah, now I understand what ari meant about the brackets. The brackets are in the invitation.
13: No, they were in Mary Catherine's comment. It was more fun when it was a mystery, right? I should have left well enough alone.
Okay, that was just weird, rather than mysterious. Link, take two.
Not only is Mary Catherine James B. Shearer, she's a prurient sportsblogger.
Wow, that was awesome. Well done. Now I have to go sex Mutombo. brb.
My sister-in-law's sister makes wedding cakes- I'm sure they could do one that looks like Lab's colon.
Man, this is great. Buck is incredibly prudish, though -- he walked by and looked over my shoulder at the page with Labs' colon on it, inquired as to what in God's name that was supposed to be, and stalked off, horrified, muttering about how he can't believe people post things like that.
But this is the best scrapbook I've ever seen.
Emerson's nefarious plan foiled!
Many thanks to Kraab, M/tch, and crew for providing the postprandial entertainment at the meetup last night. The scrapbook was a hit. I made sure everyone was good and drunk before we screened it, for maximum effect and all.
So you *did* show librarian pron after all.
i was looking for traces of mentioning me and found
Am I reading too much into a common blog exchange?
i'm glad :)
Many more Unfogged scrapbooks so that it becomes u-harmony! i'm willing to work as a free consultant
So you *did* show librarian pron after all.
Indeed. We watched Northern X-Posure IV: The Biblio-Files, in which Sarah Palin (under her stage name Ursula Minor) stars as librarian "Cody Yack". Then we watched Nanookie of the North, in which Palin... awww, nevermind.
Not only is Mary Catherine James B. Shearer, she's a prurient sportsblogger.
I contain multitudes.
(O God. It's cringe-inducingly awful to see Biden cheapen the memory of his wife's death. I know: they all go there because they all have to go there. But still).
Shouldn't you be at Mass right now, MC?
Nanookie of the North
Oh my god. Snort. This is going to leave a mark.
My mother tried to read Nanook of the North while she was pregnant with my older sister, and, as she has repeatedly put it in the subsequent 30-odd years, Nanook courageously persevered but midway through she just gave up and died. This story has become part of the Family Lore, and now I will always have a backdrop of pr()n for it. Awesome!
Flaherty had shot film in the region prior to this period, but that footage was destroyed in a fire started when Flaherty dropped a cigarette onto the original camera negative (which was highly flammable nitrate stock).
The heroic old days of film.
26, 29: I actually tried unsuccessfully -- twice -- to go to church this morning for the first time in years. Didn't work out.
They kept bursting into flames as you approached the door?
Holy fuck, that thing was EPIC. Series finale indeed!
Is today some kind of important day?
Aside form being Sunday, I mean.
Why is it that on all other days we comment either sitting or reclining, but on this day we comment in a reclining position?
Parsi, W-lfs-n and his kind have been cursed by God and don't know these things.
First day of actually I rather like season!
Disregarding games not played on Sunday, because they don't count.
I can't say I know what you're talking about.
However, I discover that the radio is talking about something involving cilantro and figs, which is to be boiled down and involves heavy cream, olive oil and garlic. I'm puzzled by this as well. The back-and-forth discussion ...
oh wait, it also involves black-eyed peas.
The back-and-forth discussion seems to have a lot to do with whether it might actually work. A cooking game show, apparently: "Stump the Cook."
This is cool! A woman has called in wanting to know how to sun-dry her tomatoes!
One particular type of tomato? Or tomatoes all and sundry?
Actually, I really don't like football.
Really, heebie. You don't expect a sensible answer from a radio program, do you?
Sifu (and Blume): Congratulations again. The party was, I hope, outstanding. No worries that the Mineshaft is watching you overmuch.
I can't say I know what you're talking about.
Quite.
Actually, I rather like Fall. That was the one good thing about Michigan.
thanks, all of you. I was having a crappy morning 'till I found this.
That was the one good thing about Michigan.
But Texas, not so much.
We have a nice fall; it just doesn't start for a few more months. But you still get that high pressure blue sky thing, which makes me happy.

In Canada, they just dropped the writ. Stephen Harper is a wanker, and he'll probably win a majority.
|>
How was Mass, MC? Dynamite, I hope.
Petition to change
Stéphane Dion's first name to "Celine"
The two ask-the-mineshaft posts have a posting date of 8-26-08, so they couldn't actually be Blume & Sifu.
Emerson, you're like the blogmother I never had.
Celine and Stéphane are tenth cousins.
MC, when did you last confess? You don't want to build up too much of a backlog. But priests don't like it when you confess the same boring shit over and over again either. Moderation in all things.
57: I personally believe that they were sockpuppet posts! Here on Unfogged!
Celine Dion was popular in Quebec for, like, years, right? So if the Liberals were lead by Celine Dion, then maybe Quebecers, would be like - "Sweet, he totally respects us and 'gets' our culture and stuff".
57: Oops. They were supposed to say 2007. I mean I assume so. Someone probably just did a sloppy cut-and-paste job from the archives.
Hey Kraab how does one e-mail you, speaking of asking the mineshaft?
Thanks for all the compliments, folks. The album was really fun to make.
They forced Jammies and me to participate against our will. I cried a little.
Which just means your genitals were crying.
This is going to leave a mark.
By coincidence, that's Nanookie of the North's tagline from the poster.
OK I'm stuck in LAX and feeling shitty but this still made me, as they say, LOL.
LAX is teh awesome for meeting women, IME.
72 is a show of solidarity, from one married man to another.
There's an exLAX joke in there somewhere.
The sheer number of people in airport bars who are obvious regulars always amazes me.
76: Yeah, and that they all turn around and say "Tweety!" when you walk in.
77: Tweety is the Norm Peterson of the frequent-flyer set.
77: Tweety is the Norm Peterson of the frequent-flyer set.
For any trait, half the people in the world are more so than Tweety, and half are less so. Blume is marrying him so she can always have him available as a control.
80: For instance Penis size - exactly at the mean for *everyone* in the world.
Stephen Harper is a wanker.
Truer words have never been spoken on this blog.
For conspiracy theorists: consider if Harper is in place merely to make Canada look a bit less inviting given a McCain presidency.
For instance Penis size - exactly at the mean for *everyone* in the world.
<StandpipeBlog>
I was just recently writing something that took advantage of the fact that items with a Null value are not counted in the SQL AVG() function. This makes me wonder whether women should be treated as having a penis size of 0, or of Null.
In the former case, the median would be 0 since the population is more than 50% female. In the latter case, however, you would still include pre-pubescent males in the calculation.

First day of actually I rather like season!
And Brady's already injured. Tweety, did you see the Liddell-Evans fight last night? Ho. Lee. Shit.
And Brady's already injured
It's just a cunning Belichick plan, like the right shoulder thing, and we'll muddle along with Matt Fucking Cassel eking out a 10-6 against a weak schedule until the time is right to deploy our secret weapon.
WHAT?!?!?
I take the picture of heebie's ass and I get NO credit?
WTF?!?!?
You get no credit for something you were compelled to do, will.
Also, if you're in the photo, how did you also take it? I think there's some revisionist history going on.
First day of actually I rather like season!
As usual, they don't have the decency to wait until baseball season is over. Vulgarians.
Extended Wedding Reception Footage: Sifu v. Fontana.
Speaking of which, I keep trying to like Gogol Bordello, at least to a fraction of the extent I like the Pogues, but I keep finding GB annoyingly "idiosyncratic" and "unique". Old fogeyism, or righteous judgment?
Some of the issue may be my impression that Eugene Hutz really really wants me to think he's outrageous, whereas my mpression of Shane MacGowan is that he doesn't give a f*&k what I think.
Have you seen GB live? Very entertaining, and the Pogues comparison honestly has never occurred to me. (Cue several comments calling me "young".) I mean, I don't get the impression that Hutz wants me to think he's outrageous.
Er, except that actually they aren't as "unique" as they should be. About half the songs just sound like unnecessarily fast punk songs with no melody.
I can't stand Gogol Bordello, but can't begin to put my finger on why. Something about "stupid Latcho Drome watching twee-ass phony bitches", but I don't even know if I'm right on my facts.
Maybe I'm just a grumpy old asshole.
97 was supposed to follow up another comment that apparently didn't get posted prematurely.
anyway, I got the "J.U.F." CD and thought I liked Gogol Bordello. then it turned out that everything I liked about that album (except Hütz's voice) was actually the work of the Balkan Beat Box guy.
I do think the fact that Shane McGowan seems genuinely committed to actually literally killing himself defuses any possible charge of inauthenticity.
Since Hutz is actually from around Kiev, and the band appeared (when I saw them) to include an old gypsy, I don't know if you can make the "phony" charge stick.
I only have their first two albums, though.
100: why would you think that?
And let me append, you have some idiosyncratic uses of "twee".
102: yeah "twee" has become a quite broad smear in my idiolect. Alternately, I can find something precious and affected in almost any music I don't like.
Possibly I'm just not a big accordion fan.
You know what I think it is? Gogol Bordello is inextricably linked in my mind with Everything Is Illuminated, and speaks to a kind of glib fascination with phony-ass eastern-europeanness that totally galls me.
Where these prejudices on my part would have come from, I haven't the slightest. It's probably anti-semitism.
Save that being galled for Beirut and, at your option, A Hawk and a Hacksaw. (I think the latter is much, much better than the former.)
What can I say - a brilliant artistic vision flawlessly executed.
I laughed, I cried, and I did *not* masturbate. Perfectly worksafe.
Bravo!
Today I learned that Kimya Dawson has a daughter named "Panda". That is twee.
If I am in the mood for that eastern european sound, it has to be Boris Kovac. Who is amazing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Kovac
The 'apocalyptic' stuff he started recorded after the end of the recent Balkan wars is amazing. The Last Balkan Tango album in particular.
Here we go, Boris Kovac and 'La Danza Apocalyptica Balcanica'.
