I get so stressed out over stories about people who have cancer from chemical exposure in daily life, like these fire fighters or a bunch of soccer goalies who play on artificial turf. Apparently the EPA is slowly moving on the matter.
Some of my very favorite posts are when I'm panicked about something and everyone convinces me not to panic. Why not have one of those?
The Border

Let's see if I understand. Democrats weren't actually interested in border security because it's usually couched in racist terms. Republicans said they wouldn't pay for aid to Ukraine and Israel without border security, and then wrote a bill with all three. Then Trump gets mad about it because he doesn't want anyone solving border problems in an election year, which makes the Democrats excited about border security, and then the Republicans torpedo their own bill to make Trump happy. This seems extremely dumb even by political theater standards, but maybe it's just normal-dumb.

Be warned that Bad Kids is pretty awful. However there's also a photo of a Manchester judge and somehow I don't think I realized that they still dress like little drummer boys?!
Less Hot is the New Hot

The researchers used the 677,423 temperature measurements from these datasets to develop a linear model that interpolated temperature over time. The model confirmed body temperature trends that were known from previous studies, including increased body temperature in younger people, in women, in larger bodies and at later times of the day.
The researchers determined that the body temperature of men born in the early to mid-1990s is on average 1.06 F lower than that of men born in the early 1800s. Similarly, they determined that the body temperature of women born in the early to mid-1990s is on average 0.58 F lower than that of women born in the 1890s. These calculations correspond to a decrease in body temperature of 0.05 F every decade.
If I actually have a temperature of 98.6 - like a few days last week - I actually feel awful and feverish. If I reach 100°, I'm barely getting out of bed.
So anyway, we're all cooling down.
