I confess I have not yet signed the petition, because I'd like to read up on Mr. Leach some more first.
When you do (I did -- I saw the guy play twice) they ask you for money.

Brilliant move: trying to reädjust my sleep schedule after global lightening, but at 11-something I noticed the "Up" documentaries are on Netflix streaming. I watched a few minutes of the first one, which was not going to be a problem, because I just don't find 7-year-olds very interesting, but now I'm halfway through the second one and teenagers are much more interesting and, argh, I have to go to bed.

3: I'm currently streaming The Lincoln Lawyer, which I find more entertaining than I'd expected.
I watched all of Twin Peaks this week instead of getting work done. :-( And I have been mooning around moodily all week.
I was not expecting the song to just be him singing the words of the petition.
6: I rather like that detail. The iTunes track name is just a link to the petition.
I have a feeling I shouldn't admit to watching Psych, but their parody episode of Twin Peaks was pretty clever.
Oh, television and Netflix. I should be trying to make decisions about what I want to be doing for the next five years or more, and instead I keep staying up late watching garbage. (Downton Abbey: not really appealing to me all that much, but I'm probably going to get through Season 1 anyway. Suburgatory: I think maybe I just like the bright colors?)
Today I slept until after noon.
Maybe I just need a vacation. One where I don't actually go anywhere. No, I won't say that word.
I didn't say it was a bad thing.
I didn't say you said it was a bad thing. I'm happy you listened to the song.
Teo didn't say that you said he said it was a bad thing. He's happy that his listening to the song made you happy.
JP Stormcrow feels nothing when he writes "Teo didn't say that you said he said it was a bad thing. He's happy that his listening to the song made you happy," other than the satisfaction of setting the record straight.
Or the taxonomy of Canadian bears.
There is little agreement on classification of brown bears. Some systems have proposed as many as 90 subspecies, while recent DNA analysis has identified as few as five clades. DNA analysis recently revealed that the identified subspecies of brown bears, both Eurasian and North American, are genetically quite homogeneous, and that their genetic phylogeography does not correspond to their traditional taxonomy. ...
Is that the urple-sign I see flashing against the clouds?
Dear God, please tell me Canada actually perceives that it has bigger fish to fry than The Riverton Rifle's place in the NHL Hall of Fame.
I'm supposed to be working on figuring out my life and next career seteps right now. Instead, I'm commenting here.
essear, your career prospects are so much more promising than mine are. Get working on figuring it out. See a counselor or something if you need to.
Dear God, please tell me Canada actually perceives that it has bigger fish to fry than The Riverton Rifle's place in the NHL Hall of Fame.
Let's be accurate here, eh? It's the Hockey Hall of Fame. And his two mates on the famed LCB line - Clarke and Barber - are already in. This matters in the annals of a great land...
In another world I would love the Weakerthans. In this world they were(are?) the favorite band of the seemingly-perfect woman I spent so much effort convincing myself not to have an affair with, during the four-year long-distance relationship with my now-wife.
20: That hardly seems like something you should be holding against the band. Also: this is John K. Samson, not the Weakerthans. So it's a different band!
the seemingly-perfect woman I spent so much effort convincing myself not to have an affair with, during the four-year long-distance relationship with my now-wife
So is this woman (i) actually perfect, or (ii) not perfect at all? What happened?
22: My sense is that he never found out. She is the perfect(?) woman not taken.

How is it that the live streaming for basketball is so much shittier than last year? Money-grubbing dilwads.

She's the one that got away, like a hitherto unknown species of Canadian brown bear that disappeared back into the pine woods, never to be seen again.
She's the one that got away, like a hitherto unknown species of Canadian brown bear
Is there no sin in it? (with mon apologies to AWB)
Dear God, please tell me Canada actually perceives that it has bigger fish to fry than The Riverton Rifle's place in the NHL Hall of Fame.
But we're talking hockey here, Castock. I mean, c'mon, hockey, eh? Were you not deeply moved by the funeral mass for the Rocket, where the Archbishop of Montréal spoke of 'that look in his eye' that was 'all Maurice'?
(Actually, I've gone off hockey lately, what with the multiple concussions sustained by Sidney Crosby, aka Sid the Kid. That kid has suffered serious head injuries, he will probably never recover, never quite be the same, and still the news is all about getting him back on the ice, as though hockey really mattered in some way that trumps common sense or common decency. Disgusting.)
27: Pens 5 - Rangers 2 in Crosby's return. Woo-h You were saying something?
Another song from this album relevant to the Mineshaft: "When I Write My Master's Thesis".
