I don't really understand the Foucault and Heidegger references, although I probably should. I would just like to say that I worked for Whole Foods in 1995-96 and I think they are just disgusting. They took over the community grocery store chain in Raleigh/Durham and they posited themselves as a community-oriented company. And yet, at the same time, they don't allow unions. Also they made us go to seven am staff meeting that could be likened to a high-school pep rally. Leaving aside the living wage and social justice issues, I don't think I can forgive them for those early mornings. They were brutal
